A love serenade amidst the lush greeneries

Dr. Yeasir Inzzamam Iftekhar

On the 14th of February on 2020, me and my beautiful wife started this new, scary yet rewarding, journey of marriage. So Valentine's has always been a special occasion for us to celebrate wholeheartedly. We married young, just graduating from our medical college, so as students we could not really afford to go to the travel destinations of our wishlist. At the core of our hearts, we are wanderlust beings, who thrive spiritually on the idea of travelling and tourism. Exploring new places, understanding new perspectives, culture, people, absorbing the scenic views and experiencing the delicacies is unparalleled happiness for us. My wife, Adiba, always talks about her urge to truly expedite the diverse beauty of Bangladesh dispersed across different parts of the country. One destination in particular intrigues her the most. The lush greeneries of Sreemangal! She has been wanting to visit Sreemangal for a long while. The vision we have for this destination involves us exploring the zigzag perfect roads of Sreemangal on a rickshaw ride, soaking in the views and the fresh winds from the tea gardens and hills on both sides. Spending a picturesque afternoon at the sounds of the waterfall, and walking hand in hand through the serenity of the National Park would be the most romantic evening we could ever ask for. We would also love to actually talk and understand the perspectives of the tea collectors that we always see in TV and movies. Sreemangal would be an ideal gateway for us to rekindle our love for each other, amidst the scenic warmth of the greeneries and the diverse beauty it has to offer. I really wish to make this dream of my wife come true someday for sure. And I pray that we can always contribute responsibly to sustainable eco-tourism for our country that is enriched with abundant natural beauties.
